How to Plan a Mobile IV Drip at Home in Melbourne
Mobile IV Therapy in Melbourne: How to Plan an Appointment at Home
Booking a mobile IV drip at home is simple, and a little planning makes the visit relaxed and easy. Our AHPRA-registered nurses come to you across Melbourne, whether that’s your home, workplace or hotel, and bring everything needed for your appointment.
Here’s what to expect, what to have ready, and how to choose the right time.
Step 1: Book a free phone consultation
Every client starts with a free phone call with one of our nurses. We talk through your health history, any medications and your goals, and let you know honestly whether IV therapy could suit you.
If you’re a new client, you’ll also complete a consent form and a scripting form for our doctor. The script costs $50 and stays valid for 12 months.

Step 2: Choose a day and time
We recommend booking 24 to 48 hours ahead so you don’t miss out. Same-day visits are sometimes possible when our nurses have availability, so it’s always worth asking.
Choose a time when you can sit and relax for about an hour without needing to rush off.
Step 3: What to have ready for your mobile IV drip at home
You don’t need much. We bring all the equipment. You just need:
A comfortable chair or sofa for each person having a drip
A top with sleeves that roll up easily
A glass of water beforehand, if you can (don’t stress if not, our nurses have plenty of tricks for finding veins)
I
f you’re booking for a group, each person needs their own comfortable spot. Groups of more than 3 are always mobile, as our Port Melbourne clinic seats 3.
Step 4: When your nurse arrives
Your nurse sets up wherever you’re most comfortable. They check in with you, place a small cannula in your arm, connect the IV line and start your drip.
Most drips take 45 minutes to 1 hour. Your nurse stays with you the whole time and monitors you throughout. Many clients read, work on a laptop or simply rest.
Step 5: Afterwards
Your nurse removes the cannula, applies a small bandaid, and you carry on with your day. You’ll get personalised aftercare advice, and our team is available by phone and email if you have questions later.
